About AANPA

The American Academy of Nephrology PAs is a non-profit organization founded in 1997. Our purpose is to support the professional growth, development, training, education and networking of PAs within the specialty practice of nephrology.

The American Academy of Nephrology PAs is an officially recognized specialty organization of The American Academy of PAs.

The American Academy of Nephrology PAs maintains an affiliation with the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation and the Renal Physician Association . We endeavor to act as an information resource to nephrologists and our other renal colleagues, regarding PA practice within the field of nephrology.

History

AANPA was founded in 1997 by Blaine Paxton Hall . When the group had grown to about 50 members, Blaine decided AANPA was already large enough to merit having its own website. In the years since, membership has continued to increase, and we now have over 300 members.
