Fun With Kidneys

Fun with Kidneys - Logo art designed by Anneliese Juergensen Active Dates: 3/1/18 - 12/31/19

Welcome to AANPA's Outreach CME modules

We have developed these modules for the PA who is NOT in nephrology, does not think they need nephrology and is the reason we, nephrology, stay in business.  Even if you do not think you are seeing kidney patients, you are! Just the normal aging of the kidney means that any patient over the age of 30 has some kidney dysfunction.

Each module in this series stands alone but taken together, the 10 modules will cover the most important issues we see....and we think you are missing. In order to make this CME more realistic for the practicing PA, we have used 'real-life' examples and discussed what went right and what went wrong. We have included expert opinion, the newest research and references for those of you who want to get more into the weeds of nephrology.

We hope you enjoy the modules. But more importantly, we hope you learn something! Every 5 minutes someone's kidneys fail. A significant amount of kidney damage is iatrogenic....by us AND by the patients.

A kidney patient is behind every door you walk in
and we want you to be prepared!  Enjoy!
